The Marmont Mini has been on everyone’s must-have list for a while now – and for good reason. It’s clean lines and classic shape mean this design that will stand the test of time. But for almost a thousand dollars, is it worth it? Yikes!
I’ll be honest – I went back and forth on that for a while. I knew I wanted one, but I wasn’t sure if this tiny handbag was worth the dent in my wallet. In the end, I went for it – and I’m glad I did!
For such a small bag, the Marmont is crazy versatile - I carry it as a shoulder, crossbody, or clutch, and I can attach it to a separate bag using the key ring. The fun green color I purchased adds a unique, trendy feel to an otherwise classic bag. Plus, the detachable chain strap allows me to dress the bag up or down - so I can wear it with jeans, or rock it for a night out on the town!

Buttery soft Matelassé leather looks and feels super luxurious
Easy-to-use magnetic closure
Detachable chain strap works with a variety of outfits – dressy or casual
Antique gold hardware adds a timeless feel
Perfect size when you need only the essentials
Cute heart-stitched design on back of bag adds a feminine flair
The leather marks easily and quickly picks up scuffs and scrapes if you’re not careful
No internal or external pockets means limited storage
In true “mini” fashion, this bag doesn’t hold much – cell phone, keys, and credit cards, at most
The bag opening is tight, making it difficult to reach in and grab what you need
Beige lining stains easily, so I wouldn’t recommend carrying lipstick, ink pens, or other items that have risk of bleeding onto the fabric
Overall, the Marmont is a solid investment. Despite its limitations, the classic design means you’ll hold onto it for years.
I’d rate this versatile little bag 3 out of 5 stars!
